The #14 Seahawks men's basketball team defeated Thomas University 77-64 on Saturday afternoon. Keiser improves to 16-1 overall and remain a perfect 4-0 in Sun Conference play.
How it Happened - Keiser jumped out to a 6-2 lead before Thomas battled back to tie it at 11-11 and went on to take a 25-13 advantage with 7:45 to go in the first half.
- Andrija Sarenac connected on a three pointer to spark a 17-3 run capped by a Deion McClenton layup to retake a 30-28 lead with 2:21 left in the half.
- The Night Hawks regained a 31-30 advantage, but a three pointer by Tyrus Weaver started a 6-3 run to close the half on top 37-33.
- After Thomas tied it at 37-37, a Weaver bucket started a 12-2 run to regain a 49-39 advantage with 12:58 remaining in the contest.
- Thomas got as close as 63-59 with 3:52 left, but the Seahawks ended the contest on a 14-5 spurt to win the game 77-64.
Inside the Box2: McClenton (14 points, 17 rebounds), and
Stefan Zecevic (14 points, 10 rebounds) had double doubles.
