The Keiser University women's basketball team fell to Thomas University 71-53 on Saturday afternoon in a Sun Conference matchup. The Seahawks drop to 13-11 overall and 6-5 in TSC contests.
How it Happened- Keiser jumped out to a 5-0 lead while holding Thomas without any points until they converted a pair of free throws with 5:23 left in the quarter. The Night Hawks scored their first field goal at 4:23 mark making it 5-4.
- Thomas went into the second quarter up 14-10, but baskets by Alasjia Dykes and Courtney Murphy tied it at 14-14 with 8:56 remaining. However, the Seahawks went into halftime trailing 38-24.
- The Night Hawks hit a jumper to start the new half, before Keiser responded with a 7-0 run getting to within 41-30 at the 6:03 mark. Thomas then upped the margin to 46-33 but an 8-0 run to close the quarter cut the defecit to 46-41.
- Keiser got as close as 52-48 at the 5:31 mark of the fourth but couldn't get any closer falling by a final of 71-53.
