Game Recap: No. 17 Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls to Oklahoma Wesleyan 2-1

The Seahawks men's soccer team could not come overcome a late second half goal by Oklahoma Wesleyan falling 2-1.

The Eagles got on the board in the 20th minute taking an early 1-0 lead. Keiser had an opportunity to tie the game in the 42nd minute but Emilie Huovinen shot was saved.

Just 38 seconds into the new half, the Seahawks knotted the contest at 1-1. Huovinen shot was initially saved but fell right to the foot of Adil Lich who buried the ball in the back of the net. However, Oklahoma Wesleyan regained the lead in 64th minute and held off Keiser winning 2-1.

Thomas Dawson and Huovinen led the way with three shots, while Jesse Alves and Lich had one shot apiece. Vinnie Cainth took the loss in goal despite making three saves.

Keiser falls to 0-5-1 overall on the year, and look to regroup before traveling to St. Thomas on Saturday, September 19 at 4:00 p.m. This game is a non-conference matchup.
