The men's soccer team fell to Texas Wesleyan 2-1 on Friday afternoon in a neutral site game. The Seahawks move to 0-1-1 overall on the year.
The Rams got on the board in the 28th minute taking an early 1-0 lead. Keiser could not get on the board in the half despite outshooting their opponents 9-5 and 3-1 on goal.
Keiser scored the equalizer in the 49th minute on a
Ben Frogner goal off an assist by
Oscar Petersson making it 1-1. However, Texas Wesleyan retook the lead in the 81st minute and held off the Seahawks winning 2-1.
Shoval Failer led the way with four shots and one on goal, while
Liam Gourlay had three shots and one on frame.
Luke Edgecombe took the loss in goal despite making three saves.
The Seahawks return to action on Saturday, September 7 when they travel to Auburn Montgomery. The kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
