The Northwood softball team fell to Southeastern 9-1 in five innings on Friday afternoon. The second game barely got going when rain put a stoppage to play.
Game One
Southeastern scored a run in the first but Northwood tied it in the second on an RBI double to right center by Meagan Flores scoring Ryleigh Williams from second. However, the Fire platted three in the third and five in the fourth winning 9-1.
Flores had two hits, while Shanah Thomas and Nicole Lewis had the other two.
Game Two
After two pitches the game was called due to rain. The game has been tentatively rescheduled for Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Check back tomorrow afternoon for updates on if the game will be played.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 14-27-1 overall and 0-13 in Sun Conference play. Northwood is in action on Sunday taking on St. Thomas at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. The team will honor their seniors in between the two contests.
