The highlights of the inning were singles by Carlos Contreras, Ryan Palenzuela, Jesus Fuenmayor, and a double by Andrew Danner. Roger Drouin upped it to 11-0 in the second with an RBI double down the left field line.

Keivan Berges extended it to 11-0 on a double to right center and a sacrifice fly to left center by Tyler Goff made it 12-0 after three innings. Ave Maria platted three runs in the third and three in the six getting to within 12-6. However, the Seahawks scored the final run of the game in the eighth on an error winning 13-6.

The Seahawks outhit their opponents 17-11, with Danner and Fuenmayor each recording four hits. Jonathan Clarke got the win going 3.1 innings, allowing three hits and no runs.

Head Coach Jeremy Kennedy said, "I was really pleased with how we came out and swung the bats. We are hitting that time of year when injures, aches, and pains show up. It's time for guys to step in and get the job done. We've talked about it all year and we will see how we do now that it's here. This weekend will be a good test for us, on how we perform with some guys out and others not 100%."

Northwood returns to the diamond on Friday to start a three game series at Thomas University. The doubleheader is set for 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
