The Seahawks men's and women's tennis team's defeated Southeastern in their final home match of the season. The men won 8-1 and the women were victorious 7-2.
Northwood's men swept the doubles matches with a pair of 8-6 wins in the first and second spot. The number one doubles pair included Alvaro Iturriaga and Rafael Lenz and the second were David Uquillas and Martin Martins. The third doubles pair of Julian Sarrion and Ignacio Osse won by a final of 8-4.
In singles, Martins led the way with his 8-0 win in the fourth spot, and Osse and Guilherme Cuhna won easily 8-1. Lenz and Uquillas picked up the other singles win in the second and third spot.
The women also swept the doubles matches led by the one spot of Adelaide Wood and Valentina Souki with their 8-1 win. Rocia Merlo and Matilde Thibadult took the second spot 8-6 and Lola Garcia and Livia Toth finished it off with an 8-4 win.
Toth led the way in singles with her 8-1 in fifth singles, and Lola Garcia won 8-2 in the six spot. Wood finished off her opponent with 6-3, 6-2 wins in the first spot and Merlo won 6-3, 6-1 in the fourth.
The men improve to 10-1 overall and stay perfect in conference play at 6-0 overall, while the women move to 7-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
The men and women hit the road for the season finale on Wednesday April 8 when they travel to #2 Embry-Riddle. The matches are set for 2:00 p.m.
