The Northwood men's and women's tennis teams dropped their regular season finale matches to Embry-Riddle on Wednesday afternoon. The men fell 7-2, while the women lost 6-3.
Alvaro Iturriaga and Rafael Lenz picked up the lone doubles win with their 8-1 defeat at number one doubles. Lenz racked up the only singles win at three singles with a 7-6, 3-7, 6-4 win.
On the women's side, Matilde Thibadult and Rocia Merlo earned the only point in doubles in the second slot with a 8-6 win. In number one singles, Adelaide Wood won 7-6, 7-5, and Livia Toth was victorious in the fifth spot 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. Merlo and Lola Garcia each lost in tough matches after taking the first set.
With the losses, the men fall to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play, while the women go to 7-5 overall and 5-2 in TSC play. Both teams return to action on Thursday, April 16 when the Sun Conference tournament begins at Embry-Riddle.
