The Seahawks took a quick 5-0 lead before stretching it out to 14-4 with 13:27 showing on the clock. Warner responded tying the game at 15-15 and taking their first lead of 19-16 with 4:17 remaining. Both teams battled close down the stretch, but the Royals held on for a 24-22 lead at intermission.
Warner took their largest lead of the game at 32-26, when Northwood cut it to a possession at 32-20 at the 15:24 mark. The Royals pushed back out to 39-35 lead when a Chris Solomon three pointer sparked a 9-0 run capped by a pair of Fred Mattison free throws for a 49-42 lead with 7:30 left.
However, Warner answered with an 11-3 spurt regaining a narrow 53-52 margin with 3:21 left in regulation. After three lead changes the Royals held a 60-58 advantage with five seconds left when Marcus Hardy tipped a shot back in knotting things at 60-60.
