The Northwood women's basketball team fell to Thomas in their final regular season game on Saturday. The Seahawks honored their three seniors: Dana Gildea, Lakeisha Blanson, and T'aundra Wrighter prior to the game.

Thomas took an early 4-0 lead before Northwood was able to tie the game up at 6-6 with 15:24 showing. The Seahawks took their first lead of 10-8 but the Night Hawks responded retaking a 21-16 advantage with 4:44 remaining. A Mallory Burton and Emily May layup cut it to one at 21-20 but Thomas closed the half 5-1 taking a 25-22 lead into the break.

The Night Hawks extended their advantage to 29-22 and held the Seahawks off till Northwood used a 5-0 run taking a 39-36 lead with 12:54 left in regulation. Over the next 11 minutes, the game featured nine lead changes and two ties with no lead greater than two until there was a minute remaining in regulation. Thomas then was able to pull away with the 64-60 win.

Gildea led the way on the night with 16 points, while Blanson chipped in 14. May led the way with six rebounds and Wrighter had four assists.

The Seahawks conclude the regular season with a 5-22 overall record and 4-14 Sun Conference mark.
