The #22 Keiser University men's basketball took down #8 Olivet Nazarene 72-66 on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Seahawks became the Marietta Rappaport Holiday Classic Champions.

How it Happened

• The Seahawks led 8-7, when a layup by Ebenezer Adekunle started a 7-0 run capped by a Stefan Zecevic three pointer extending out to a 15-7 advantage with 13:50 showing.
• Olivet Nazarene closed to within 20-16, but a Brice Jenkins jumper in the paint sparked an 8-0 run capped by a Deion McClenton dunk making it 28-16 at the 7:33 mark. Keiser kept their 12 point margin going into the half at 36-28.
• Andrija Sarenac scored 11 of the Seahawks first 19 points in the second half helping take their largest lead of the game at 55-40 with 11:50 to go. During that span, Sarenac converted on three straight baskets from beyond the arc.
• The Tigers outscored Keiser 16-5, over the next seven minutes getting to within 60-56 with 5:28 remaining in the game.
• Keiser pushed back out to a 65-58 lead before Olivet Nazarene hit a jumper making it 65-60 with 3:32 to play. From this point, the Tigers got to within five on four different occasions but each time the Seahawks answered with a basket.

13: Whittaker double-double in points and rebounds, and was two assists shy of a triple-double.
18: Sarenac scored all his points in the second half, connecting on four three pointers and going 4-4 from the line.
22: Made free throws on 32 attempts, led by Jenkins going eight of ten.

Warner defeated the Penn State 91-62 in the first game of the day.
