The Seahawks men's soccer team came up short against St. Thomas 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon. Keiser is now 5-9-1 overall and 4-3 in Sun Conference play.
St. Thomas got on the board in the 8th and 11th minutes for a 2-0 advantage.
Ben Frogner had a scoring chance in the 16th minute but his header to the far post was saved. The score remained the same heading into the intermission.
Keiser scored the lone goal of the second half in the 81st minute when
Tomas Cordeiro scored off an assist by
Shoval Failer falling 2-1.
The Seahawks held a slight 9-7 edge on shots, with
Emil Huovinen and Failer with two shots apiece.
Vinnie Cainth made one save in goal.
Keiser returns to the field on Saturday for senior day against Florida Memorial. The kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
