DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The No. 4 Northwood University (Fla.) women's soccer team had late misfortune strike again as Oklahoma Baptist used a strike in the 86th minute to defeat the Lady Seahawks, 1-0, on the first day of action at the 2014 Habitat for Humanity Invitational, hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Saturday afternoon.

With 3:25 to play, Oklahoma Baptist midfielder Sarah Zeckser lofted a pass to the middle of the field, hitting forward Ailee Thompson, who placed a shot past Northwood senior goalkeeper Matilda Hjalte (Falkenberg, Sweden), delivering the 1-0 victory for the Bison.

The Lady Seahawks outshot the Bison, 22-5, during the contest. Hjalte made one save for Northwood, while Oklahoma Baptist goalkeeper Emma Beck stopped nine shots in the win.

The Lady Seahawks fall to 0-4-1 on the season, while Oklahoma Baptist improved to 2-1 overall. Northwood will look to move into the win column on the final day of the Habitat for Humanity Invitational when the Lady Seahawks will face Auburn-Montgomery. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
