WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Northwood University men's soccer team remained unbeaten in conference play as they went on the road and held off Webber International 2-0 in a Sun Conference matchup on Saturday.

The Seahawks battled the Warriors in the first half as the game was scoreless heading into halftime.

The Seahawks took control of the game early in the second half.

Callum Sinclair scored at the 49:42 mark of the second half to give the Seahawks a 1-0 advantage.

The Seahawks were able to extend the lead at the 59:24 mark as Craig Mooney scored to make it 2-0. Mark Hanlon was credited with the assist on the goal.

Mark Dawson posted the shutout in net for the third time against a conference opponent.

The Seahawks dominated play offensively with 25 shots and eight shots on goal while holding the Warriors to eight shots and just one shot on goal.

"We are very pleased with the win," Seahawks men's soccer coach Joe Zakowicz said. "Webber is a formidable opponent and finished above us in the conference last season.  Our boys were on top of them from the first minute to the last, and we were able to go much deeper into our bench.  It was a solid win and one we hope to build on as we move into the second phase of Sun Conference play."

The Seahawks improved to  5-2-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the Sun Conference and have been unbeaten in their last four games played.

Meanwhile, the Warriors fell to 5-6 overall and 1-5 in conference play.

The Seahawks are back in action to visit SCAD on Friday, October 17 at 4 p.m.
