Sophia Nduwayo enters her second year at Keiser University as the Assistant Sports Information Director. In her role, she serves as the department’s lead graphic designer and is the assigned sports information director for the Seahawks’ volleyball, women’s basketball, and baseball programs.
In 2025, Nduwayo earned national recognition in the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Creative and Digital Media Contest, taking home five awards for her graphic design work. Highlights included Best of NAIA honors in the Major Awards and Championship category, as well as a top-five national finish in poster design within the college division.
Before stepping into her current position, Nduwayo spent two years as a graduate assistant with the Keiser athletics communications team. During that time, she worked closely with the men’s soccer and flag football programs, while also serving as the department's graphic designer and photographer.
A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Nduwayo began her career in collegiate athletics at Columbia College (MO), where she worked on the game day staff and spent a season as a member of the softball team. While with the Cougars, she focused on photography for basketball, lacrosse, and softball.
Nduwayo holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Biology from Columbia College (MO). She also competed at the NJCAA Division I level at Colby Community College. She earned her Master of Science in Sports Management and Operations from Keiser University in May 2024.
