Payton Hulsey

Payton's Practices
  • Entering his second year as an Assistant Coach of the men's basketball team
  • Helped the Seahawks to a 26-6 overall record and a 14-2 mark in conference action

Pre-Keiser
Prior to joining the Seahawks, Hulsey spent two years at Campbellsville University as the assistant men's coach and head JV coach for the Tigers. In two seasons at Campbellsville, the Tigers won 29 games and held an 18-11 record on the home floor. Before coaching the Tigers, Hulsey spent time as a coach for his alma mater, Southwind High School. In 2018, Hulsey traveled to Ürümqi, Xinjiang, China to be a personal basketball trainer for the Xinjiang Tigers. He worked in China during the Chinese Basketabll Association's 2019-2020 season, assisting NBA G-league Champion Jarnell Stokes and NBA Champion Ian Clark.
 
Playing Career
In college, Hulsey played his final year of college basketball for the College of Charleston Cougars. He made 30 starts in 31 games leading the team in steals, and was named to the 2016 Coastal Athletics Association All-Defensive Team. Hulsey also played for Eastern Florida State College and Western Kentucky. In high school, he helped the Southwind Jaguars to the 2013 Tennessee Class AAA State Championship. He was named to the 2011-12 "Best of Preps" Class AAA Boys Team by the Memphis Commercial-Appeal as a junior.

Hulsey graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
