In her first season with the Seahawks, Schade has made an immediate impact as the program's Multi-Events and Jumps coach, contributing to strong performances across both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
Pre-Keiser
Prior to joining Keiser, Schade brings over a decade of collegiate coaching experience spanning NCAA Division I, Division III, and NAIA programs. She most recently served as the Strength and Conditioning and Sports Performance Coach at Florida Memorial University, where she oversaw all 12 university sports programs. During her tenure, she contributed to a Sun Conference Championship appearance in football, back-to-back Black College World Series titles in baseball, and a track and field program that produced six All-Americans and eight school records, including a Sun Conference Championship in the women's 100 meters.
Before Florida Memorial, Schade spent the 2022–23 season as an assistant coach at Virginia Military Institute, a Division I program, where she coached four conference champions in the long jump, triple jump, and 60 meters — all of whom earned Conference MVP honors — along with three school record holders. From 2018 to 2021, she served as Associate Head Coach at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, where she helped build a championship culture in the highly competitive WIAC, producing 10 All-Americans, three conference champions, four All-Region honorees, and two school record holders. She was recognized for her contributions off the track as well, earning the University Leadership Mentor Award in 2019–20.
Schade also held assistant coaching positions at Denison University, where she coached two school record holders, nine All-Conference athletes, and an NCAA Division III national qualifier, and served as a volunteer coach at both the University of Texas Arlington and Florida International University at the Division I level. At FIU, she helped develop a Second Team All-American in the triple jump and broke a 10-year-old school record while claiming the conference title in the women's high jump.
Beyond the collegiate level, Schade has operated a professional strength and conditioning and power sports coaching business since 2012. Her recent clientele includes Stefan Duvivier (Canadian Trials Silver Medalist, High Jump, 2024), Kimberly Williamson (Jamaican Trials Bronze Medalist, High Jump, 2024), Tyler Hughes (4A Florida State Champion, High Jump, 2024, signed to Southern Miss), and Julia Aere (U18 Brazilian National Champion, Heptathlon, 2024, signed to Wake Forest).
Playing Career
Schade competed in track and field at the University of Alabama, where she established herself as one of the premier high jumpers in the country. She was a seven-time All-American and four-time All-SEC selection, winning the SEC Indoor Championship and setting the conference record in the high jump in 2012. That same year, she earned NCAA Runner-Up honors and qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials. She was named the USTFCCCA South Region Field Athlete of the Year in 2010 and the SEC Women's Freshman Field Athlete of the Year in the same season, and earned four SEC Scholar-Athlete honors throughout her career. Internationally, she was a Pan American Junior Runner-Up in the high jump in 2009. She has continued to compete at the elite level as a professional, qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Trials again in 2021 and winning the USATF Masters W30 High Jump title in both 2021 and 2024.
Personal
Schade earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Alabama in 2012, followed by a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Alabama in 2014. She holds certifications in USTFCCCA Strength and Conditioning, USTFCCCA Sprints, Hurdles and Relays, and USATF Level 1, and is certified in AED, CPR, and First Aid.
