Adams was named Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year in 2021 and earned NCCAA Mideast Region Coach of the Year honors for six consecutive seasons (2019–2024). Over his six-year head coaching tenure, the Tigers posted a 71-33-7 record.
As a player, Adams was a three-time Mid-South Conference Second Team All-Conference selection.
