Smet’s Summary
  • Smet is entering her third season as the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse coach
  • In 2021, she assisted Keiser to their first-ever NAIA National Championship, defeating No. 2 Cumberlands, 13-11
  • Helped KU to back-to-back Mid-South Regular Season and Tournament Championships
  • Aided the Seahawks to an overall record of 35-6 and 13-0 in conference
  • The Seahawks are 13-5 against teams ranked inside the NAIA Coaches Poll in her time with the team
  • Guided the Mid-South Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Defender of the Year in 2021
  • Assisted with 19 All-Conference awards and nine NAIA All-American honors
  • Off the field, the Seahawks received 18 Academic All-Conference honors
 
Pre-Keiser
Smet comes from the club coaching scene, working with MC Elite since 2015 as the head coach for the 2023 and 2025 teams. She also spent time at Georgetown Preparatory School in Rockville, Maryland.
 
Playing Career
Smet was a four-year member of the women’s lacrosse team at NCAA Division 1, Monmouth University. In that time, she tallied 24 goals, 18 ground balls, and 10 assists. Off the field, she was a three-time member of the MAAC All-Academic team.
 
Personal
Smet earned her Bachelors in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from Monmouth University in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University.
