Donald Heaven Jr.

Heaven's Help

Heaven Jr. arrives at Keiser after a two-year stint at Florida Memorial, where he served as an assistant coach for the track and field team. A long-time resident of south Florida, Donald Heaven excelled as an athlete at Miami Carol City Senior High School and also as a professional athlete. His success as a 3-time high school state champion for shot put and discus and on the football field earned him a scholarship at Florida State University. During his career with the Seminoles he won a NCAA Football Championship in 1999, helped his team win the ACC Conference Championship four times, while also letting four times in track and field. After college, he was named CFL 2002 Rookie of the Year while playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Prior to his time at FMU, Heaven Jr. was the strength and conditioning coordinator, offensive line coach, and throws coach for Miramar Senior High School in Miramar, Fla. from 2005-2010. He was also the shot put and discus coach at Big Throw Athletics for 11 years, a behavioral technician at Millennium Clinic in Pembroke Pines, Fla. from 2016-2024, and a contracted coach at St. Thomas University from 2017-2018.
