  • Claybrooks enters his sixth season as an Assistant Track & Field Coach
  • Oversees the multi-event athletes for the Seahawks
  • Assisted with three NAIA National Champions (Stomne, 2021 indoor heptathlon) (Paris, 2022 outdoor pole vault) (Wilson, 2023 indoor heptathlon)
  • Helped the men’s team finish third at the 2019 NAIA Indoor National Championship meet
  • Aided in 32 NAIA All-Americans including 21 indoor and 11 outdoor
  • In indoor, aided in seven individual and one relay Conference Championship, 20 All-Conference honors, and five All-Conference relay teams
  • Assisted with the 2021 Indoor Freshman and Outstanding Field Athlete of the Year, Philip Stomne
  • For outdoor, assisted with 24 individual All-Conference, five individual champions, three relay championships, and two relay championships
  • Aided Cole Wilson en route U20 Candian National Championships.
  • Helped the men’s indoor team reach No. 3 in the USTFCCCA Coaches poll during the 2019 season, and No. 3 in 2023.
  • In the classroom, track has brought in 23 Academic All-Conference awards

Pre-Keiser
Claybrooks spent the 2016-17 season as an Assistant Track & Field Coach at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. In his lone year, he oversaw the jumpers during the indoor and outdoor seasons. Claybrooks helped three jumpers land in the top five of the record book at UTRGV and nine-athletes earn All-Conference honors.

Claybrooks spent three seasons with Gordon at Lindsey Wilson, heading up the efforts of the distance runners, hurdlers, high jumpers, pole vaulters, and serving as the recruiting coordinator. In that time, he coached three cross country national qualifiers and one All-American. Under his training, 11 athletes qualified for the Indoor National Championship with six claiming All-American status. In outdoor, he helped three athletes claim All-American honors and 12 gain All-Conference recognition including; Cross Country Runner of the Year, Track & Field Athlete of the Year, and  Freshman of the Year.

Claybrooks coached three seasons at Eastern Kentucky University, guiding the program to three cross country team championships and one men's indoor team championship. Claybrooks spent one season at Iowa Western Community College as the recruiting coordinator and sprint, jumps and relay coach. Under his guidance, seven program records were set and five student-athletes earned All-American honors.


Personal
Claybrooks graduated from Murray State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education. He then obtained his Master’s degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Administration from Eastern Kentucky in 2008..
