McCann’s Moments
  • McCann enters his third season as an Assistant Coach of the Keiser University Men’s Soccer team
  • The Seahawks are 24-22-8 in McCann’s three years, including a 16-7-5 conference mark
  • Helped coach seven All-Conference and four NAIA All-Americans
  • In 2016, helped the Seahawks win their first season opener since 2010
  • Coached Reece Weldon, who set the school record for assists in a year
  • Advanced to the Sun Conference Championship for the first time since 2008
  • Coach Aaron Molloy to Sun Conference Freshman of the Year and two players to Defensive Player of the Year honors. 

Pre-Keiser
McCann has spent the past two summers as a coach for Reading United AC of the USL PDL. In his first year, Reading won the Mid-Atlantic Division Championship and fell in the Eastern Conference Finals to Ocean City. This past season, Reading finished second in the Mid-Atlantic with a program-best 12 wins in regular season play. They also set a program record for least amount of goals allowed, which topped the Eastern Conference. 
 
Playing Career
A member of the FAI National Academy before enrolling at Lambuth University for a season, where he helped them to ten consecutive victories while scoring a goal and picking up five assists. He then transferred to College of Saint Rose for two seasons, and was named a team captain.
 
McCann ended his career with the Seahawks, again being named a captain. As a defender, he scored two goals to go along with three assists. McCann was named First Team All-Conference and was an NSCAA/Continental Tire Men’s All-East Region First-Team selection. 
 
Personal
McCann earned his undergraduate degree in entertainment and sports management from Northwood University. He is currently enrolled in the master’s program at Keiser.
