Elrick van Eck is entering his first season as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Keiser University.
Pre-Keiser
Prior to Keiser, van Eck served as an assistant coach with the Colorado State men’s golf program for four seasons. During his time with the Rams, van Eck played a key role in helping guide the squad to a Mountain West runner-up finish in three straight seasons.
On the recruiting side, van Eck was responsible for bringing in four of the six golfers that qualified for the 2019 NCAA Regional. The two recruiting classes van Eck was responsible for bringing in ranked 15th and seventh in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Before joining the staff at Colorado State, van Eck was the assistant coach at Florida Tech for the men’s and women’s golf teams. van Eck guided the Panthers to five NCAA Division II Regional Championship berths, including three consecutive on the women’s side.
During the 2014-15 season, van Eck played an instrumental role in helping Gaelen Trew become the first men’s golfer to qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championship in program history.
Playing Career
A native of Pretoria, South Africa, van Eck played collegiately at Shorter University and Northwood University, winning numerous junior college and amateur events throughout his career.
Throughout his career, van Eck earned NAIA Third Team All-American honors and was ranked inside the Top 25 on Golfstat Cup for all collegiate levels during his senior season at Northwood. At Northwood, van Eck earned the school’s Athletic Leadership Award.
Before playing collegiately, van Eck cracked the Top 30 in the South African amateur rankings, reaching as high as No. 6. In 2006 and 2007, van Eck represented his South African province (Gauteng North) on the under-23 team and was named captain in his last year.

van Eck earned a degree in Business from Northwood University.
