Brandon Strassburger is entering his third season as the Head Coach of the Developmental Basketball team at Keiser University.
During Strassburger’s time at the helm, the Seahawks have concluded two winning seasons, collected 20 total wins and were crowned back-to-back conference champions.
Strassburger’s Skills
- Guided the Seahawks to back-to-back Sun Conference D-League Championships (2020, 2021)
- Responsible for the recruitment of all developmental team players and credited with constructing the largest rosters in school history (2020, 2021)
- Led the Seahawks as the second ranked team in conference play in 2020 and 2021
- Coached the two-time D-League Tournament MVP, DaQuan Williams, in 2020 and 2021
- Developed two D-League First Team All-Conference Players in DaQuan Williams and Jalen Scott in 2021
- In the classroom, the devo team has had five straight semesters of improved team GPA
- Aided in the growth and advancement of five developmental players moving up to the men’s team
- Serves as the Director of the Sun Conference D-League Tournament
Pre-Keiser
Prior to Keiser, Strassburger spent seven seasons at Oxbridge Academy, including three as the Head Coach. During his time as the head coach, the Thunder Wolves compiled a 63-18 overall record and 25-1 district mark. In addition, he led Oxbridge to three consecutive District Championships, three Regional Semifinals, and two Regional Finals. Strassburger coached and developed nine Division I athletes, and multiple Division II, Division III and NJCAA athletes.
Strassburger started in coaching as an Administrative Assistant at Northwood University under Rollie Massimino for three seasons. As a special assistant, Strassburger aided in the two most successful seasons in Seahawk history (2010-2012) and was responsible for player development of the 2012 NAIA Player of the Year, Jon Dunn. During his seasons as a special assistant, he helped develop multiple NAIA All-Americans, and All-Conference players.
Playing Career
Strassburger played one season at Northwood University in 2009-10. In high school, he served as a captain during his junior and senior seasons at Olympic Heights.
Personal
Strassburger graduated from Northwood University in 2012 with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
