Kayla is entering her second season with the Lady Seahawks after transferring from Monroe Community College after her sophomore year.
As a junior, Kayla appeared in one game for the Lady Seahawks. While at Monroe Community College, her team won the 2009 & 2010 Region III Championhships, took 3rd place at the 2009 NJCAA Nationals, were runners-up at the 2010 Division III NJCAA National. Kayla earned 2010 Division III All-Tournament team honors.
Kayla attended high school at Canadigua Academy and Aquinas Institute of Rochester. At Canadigua Academy, Kayla earned varsity letters in softball and swimming, where her swimiming team won the 2005 sectional championship. At Aquinas Institute of Rochester, Kayla earned varsity letter in softball and tennis, where her softball team won the 2008 state championship.
Off the diamond, Kayla is involved with Light the Night, Pirate Toy Fun, the Brighton Jewish Home and the Rochester Zoo.
Daughter of Kevin Steinkirchner and Susan Brounscheidel...Majoring in Business Management.
