The No. 11 Keiser men's soccer team closed out its Georgia road trip with a 2-0 win over No. 22 Faulkner (AL) on Sunday afternoon at Lupo Family Field, as Ian Garnero scored both goals for the Seahawks in the opening half.
Garnero opened the scoring in the 13th minute, converting a feed from Keanu Does and Santiago Duque for his first goal of the season. He struck again just ten minutes later in the 23rd minute, finishing off a pass from Gabi Villafane and Francis Bolland to make it 2-0. The two goals proved to be enough offense for Keiser, as the defense did the rest. Finn Froley made three saves in goal to post the shutout, while Faulkner goalkeeper Andre Ferreira turned away six shots in the loss. Faulkner pushed for a response throughout the second half but could not find a way past the Seahawks back line.
