2025-26 Keiser Athletes of the Year Finalists Announced

The 2025-26 Keiser Male and Female Athletes of the Year Finalists were announced on Wednesday.

This year's finalists - male and five female - were voted on by the The Keiser Athletes of the Year Committee from a pool of 32 Seahawks recognized for their accomplishments this season. Those nominees were announced were announced on June 16 (female) and June 17 (male) . In all, 16 male and 16 female athletes are among this year's nominees. The 2025-26 Keiser Male and Female Athletes of the Year will be determined via a ballot voted on by Keiser's head coaches, the Keiser Athletes of the Year Committee, and the fans. Fans can vote for their choice by visiting the following links:

The Seahawks concluded another historic season in 2025-26, finishing with five National Championships, 20 NAIA Tournament appearances, 19 Individual National Champions, eight Relay National Champions, and four NAIA Semifinalists.
 
Keiser's success extended across the conference and national landscape, as the Seahawks captured five regular-season conference championships and 10 conference tournament titles while producing 155 NAIA All-Americans and 214 all-conference honorees. The sustained excellence of Keiser Athletics continued to solidify the program's standing among the NAIA's elite.
 
Throughout the 2025-26 campaign, Keiser Athletics recognized 70 Seahawks Athletes of the Week and 16 Seahawks Athletes of the Month, highlighting the depth of talent and achievement across the department.

2025-26 Women's Finalists

Violet Apisah, Fourth Year, Sydney, Australia2025-26 ATOY (Women - Apisah)
  • Garnered First Team NAIA All-America Honors for a fourth consecutive season
  • Named Player of the Year in the Sun Conference for a fourth straight year
  • Went a perfect 31-0 in singles action, the only undefeated singles season in Keiser history
  • In the fall, won the ITA Cup Singles National Champion for the third time
  • Finished the season ranked No. 1 in singles and doubles by the ITA
  • Part of the SUN Doubles Team of the Year with sister Patricia, recording a 30-2 overall record
  • Named an All-American by the ITA in both singles and doubles play
  • Finished her career as the school's all-time leader in overall wins (211)
  • Also holds the mark for wins in singles (118) and doubles (93) play
  

 

Luiza Bersi, Second Year, Sao Paolo, Brazil2025-26 AOTY (Women - Bersi)
  • Named NAIA Swimmer of the Year after leading No. 1 Keiser to its fifth consecutive NAIA National Championship
  • Captured seven NAIA National Championships and earned eight All-America honors during the national meet
  • Won the 200 IM (2:00.93) with a meet record and school record performance
  • Claimed the 100 Fly national title (53.76) after leading prelims and finals
  • Set a school record in the 200 Fly (2:00.91), finishing just .02 off the NAIA record
  • Swam on multiple record-breaking relays, including the NAIA & meet record 200 Medley Relay (1:40.52)
  • Helped break the NAIA and meet record in the 800 Free Relay (7:22.55)
  • Part of the NAIA-record 400 Medley Relay (3:41.24) and national champion 200 Free Relay (1:32.22)
  • Anchored multiple relay victories and podium finishes to help secure the Seahawks' national title


Herry Ji, First Year, London, England2025-26 AOTY (Women - Ji)
  • Became the third Seahawks to win be named NAIA WGCA Freshman of the Year (Sophia Sindersberger - 2024-25; Emma Lee Tortensson - 2019-20)
  • Earned Second-Team WGCA All-America honors
  • Also named to the WGCA NAIA All-Freshman Team presented by the AJGA
  • Named the 2025-26 Sun Conference Freshman of the Year 
  • Ji became the fifth Sun Conference Freshman of the Year in program history
  • Named a First-Team All-Sun Conference selection for the first time
  • Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 29 rounds
  • Had five top-5 finishes, including three in the top 3
  • Had top-10 placement of the year
  • Finished tied for fifth at the 31st Annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championship (May 19-22), shooting a 10-over, 226
  • Placed second Jupiter Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 13-14) for her first top-5 placement, shooting a 3-over, 213
  • Finished third individually at the Flagler Fall Slam (Nov. 2-3), firing rounds of 69 (-3), 70 (-2), and 75 (+3) for a three-round total of 214
  • Named the Sun Conference and NAIA Golfer of the Week for her performance at the Flagler Fall Slam
  • Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of 73.3
  • Ranked No. 6 by in the nation (clippd)


Ashlea Klam, Third Year, Austin, Texas2025-26 Athlete of the Year (Klam)
  • Became the NAIA's first Player of the Year recipient 
  • Earned First-Team All-America honors at both safety and wide receiver for the first time in her career
  • Named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team for her play in the Inaugural NAIA Women's Flag Football Invitational
  • Led Keiser to the NAIA Championship Game
  • Earned first-team honors at both safety and wide receiver for the first time in her career
  • Named an all-conference selection for the third consecutive season
  • Made appearances in 19 games for the Seahawks
  • Caught 85 passes for 956 yards and a team-high 21 touchdowns
  • Recorded at least one receiving touchdown in 13 games
  • Led the team in scoring with 146 points (No. 9 in the NAIA)
  • Registered 12 interceptions this season (tied for No. 5 in the NAIA)
  • Also recorded 34 flag pulls this season with eight pass breakups 


Lauren Riley, Fourth Year, Staffordshire, England2-25-26 AOTY (Women - Riley)
  • Claimed NAIA and USC Player of the Year honors
  • Garnered NAIA All-America honors for the second consecutive year
  • Named a United Soccer Coaches All-American for the second straight year
  • Tabbed NAIA National Tournament Most Valuable Player
  • Part of the NAIA National Tournament All-Tournament Team
  • Named the Sun Conference Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year
  • Scored a career-high 19 goals this season
  • Ranked 12th in the NAIA in goals scored and ninth in assists with 14
  • Moved into fourth in program history in total goals with 49
  • Her six game-winning goals ranked sixth in the NAIA


 
2025-26 Men's Finalists

Isaiah Aleksenko, SecondYear, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands2025-26 AOTY (Men - Aleksenko)
  • Named NAIA Swimmer of the Year for the second consecutive season after leading No. 1 Keiser to its seventh NAIA National Championship
  • Captured seven NAIA National Championships and earned eight All-America honors at the national meet
  • Broke the NAIA record in the 100 Fly (45.21) — also setting the meet and pool records
  • Set the NAIA and meet record in the 200 IM (1:44.48) after already breaking the school record in prelims
  • Swam on four record-breaking relays, including NAIA & meet records in the 200 Free Relay (1:18.27) and 400 Free Relay
  • Led off the 400 Medley Relay with an NAIA-record 45.70 split, helping set a meet record (3:09.43)
  • Part of the national champion 200 Medley Relay team that opened the meet with a 1:25.42 victory
  • Won individual national titles in the 100 Fly, 200 IM, and 200 Fly (1:43.37)
  • Recorded multiple personal bests and top qualifying times while scoring crucial points toward Keiser's national title


AJ Badik, Fourth Year, Orlando, Florida2025-26 AOTY (Men - Badik)
  • Led Keiser to its fourth straight NAIA National Championship
  • Earned NAIA Tournament MVP honors, scoring 13 goals over three games
  • Named a first-team All-American selection for the fourth straight year
  • Received AAC First Team honors for the fourth consecutive year
  • Named AAC Player of the Year
  • Led the team with 50 goals on the season
  • Finished third on the team with 64 points on 50 goals and 14 assists
  • The school's all-time leader in goals with 173
  • Finished his career ranked second all-time at Keiser in points (245)
  • Led the team with 137 shots
 

 

Timo Boomkens, Third Year, Valkenswaard, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands2025-26 AOTY (Men - Boomkens)
  • NAIA All-American and United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American in 2025 after earning Second Team honors in 2024
  • Two-time Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Year and 2025 Sun Conference Player of the Year
  • Two-time First Team All-Conference selection
  • CSC Academic All-America and two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree
  • NAIA Scholar-Athlete and key contributor to Sun Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships




 

Iver Sokhan-Sanj, Second Year, Lorenskog, Norway2025-26 AOTY (Men - Sokhan-Sanj)
  • Named the 2026 NAIA Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award presented by Workday
  • Earned NAIA All-American honors – first of his career
  • A first-time Sokhan-Sanj GCAA PING All-American
  • Earned PING All-South Region team honors for the first time
  • Named a First-Team All-Sun Conference honoree for the first time
  • Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 31 rounds
  • Had five top-5 finishes with four tournament wins
  • Became the third golfer in Keiser history to win Sun Conference Medalist honors
  • A two-time Sun Conference Golfer of the Week
  • Shot a career-low 201 (−15) at the Music City Classic (April 13-14) - second-lowest 54-hole total in Keiser history
  • Set the school record for low round with a 9-under 63 in Round 2 at the Music City Classic
  • Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of 70.3
  • Currently ranked No. 7 by clippd


Shea Spencer, Fourth Year, Vero Beach, Florida2025-26 AOTY (Men - Spencer)
  • Led Keiser to its fourth straight NAIA National Championship Game
  • Named a First-Team All-Sun Conference selection for the first time in his career
  • Started in all 12 games for the Seahawks
  • Completed 262-of-389 (67.3 percent) for 3,391 yards (school record) and 27 touchdowns
  • Ranks No. 3 in the NAIA in completion percentage and No. 9 in yards per game (271.2)
  • A two-time Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week
  • Became the first player in Sun Conference history to throw for over 9,000 career yards following his performance in the NAIA Second Round versus SEU (11/29)
  • Completed 27-of-33 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns versus SEU in the playoffs – Named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the Second Round
  • Also, named the Semifinals Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the Game, used both his arm and his legs to lead the Seahawks to victory, throwing for 353 yards on 22-of-37 passing with two touchdowns while rushing for three scores on seven carries for 80 yards
  • Finished the 2025 season as Keiser and the Sun Conference's all-time leading passer with 9,690 yards while collecting a school-best 80 career touchdowns
