When asked about today's result, Head Coach
Ali Borhani had this to say: "Never easy coming into nationals with multiple injuries and players battling illness, but I'm really proud of how everyone stepped up and competed. Tough day for the lads today, especially the seniors. I truly felt like we outplayed them, and it's unfortunate that a few unlucky breaks and calls ended up deciding a 3.5-hour battle.
A huge thank you to Kris Swogger for giving me this opportunity, and to Coach Finn for showing me the ropes. I'm incredibly thankful for how quickly these boys welcomed me in and allowed me to be part of this team. Although it didn't end the way we wanted, the brotherhood these guys built will last a lifetime. KU! Birds up!"
