No. 5 Keiser women's lacrosse delivered a statement performance on Multi-Purpose Field, outscoring St. Thomas (FL) by double digits in the first half alone and never looking back. The Seahawks' 25-5 victory locked up the two-seed in the Sun Conference Tournament and pushed their home record to 5-2 on the year.

The game didn't start quite the way the Seahawks drew it up as Hailey Josleyn found the back of the net just a minute into the game to put the Bobcats in front, 1-0. Milena Isturiz evened the score minutes later off a feed from MacKenzie GibaudTess Geiger then gave Keiser its first lead at 9:36, capitalizing after a St. Thomas clear attempt failed before Geiger cut through the Bobcats defense to score. St. Thomas briefly answered when Jenna Lytch converted off a Josleyn assist at 7:23 to tie it at 2-2, but that would be the last time the Bobcats were on even terms. Gibaud scored at 2:08, assisted by Emily McCall, then Reese Lynch added another at 1:09 off an Emily Ferris assist to make it 4-2. With just six seconds left in the quarter, Tess Geiger capped the period in style, placing a shot over the shoulder of the keeper to give Keiser a 5-2 cushion after the first.

St. Thomas opened the period with a free-position goal from Madison Proud at 12:03 to close to 5-3. Gibaud struck again at 10:28 on a power play, assisted by Isabelle Vrensen. Before St. Thomas could breathe, Vrensen scored on her own at 10:08 to make it 7-3. A timeout by St. Thomas couldn't slow down Keiser as Jia Schweigert scooped up a ground ball and finished at 9:01 to extend the lead to five, and Gibaud returned at 4:38 for her third goal of the half. Mikayla Madden scored at 2:51 to extend the lead then 22 seconds later Geiger tallied her second. Griffin scored at 2:07 on a Gibaud assist, and Reese Lynch closed the half with another Gibaud-assisted tally at 1:47 to make it a 10-goal difference going into the break.

Griffin won the opening draw of the third quarter, and Isturiz capitalized just 30 seconds in at 14:30 to push the lead to 14-3. Isturiz struck again at 11:16 after Keiser won possession on a turnover, giving her two quick third-quarter goals. The Seahawks continued to pile on as Vrensen scored off a Schweigert assist at 6:43, and Schweigert answered back herself at 3:40 off an Emily McCall feed to make it 17-3. The Bobcats got one back before Lynch buried a free-position shot with nine seconds left to close the period.

At the beginning of the fourth, Griffin forced a turnover and did the rest herself to make it 19-4. The Bobcats scored their final goal of the game with 12:37 remaining to put the score at 19-5. A nice feed by Isturiz across the face of the goal found Lynch for goal number 20 of the day. Isturiz scored again two minutes later followed by Ferris getting involved again. On the ensuing play, McCall picked up the draw control and finished a one-handed goal to make it 23-5. Madden and Malea Blackmore wrapped up the scoring at 25-5 as the Seahawks finished the dominant showing.

Keiser will host the Sun Conference Tournament beginning on Thursday, April 30 with the quarterfinals. The Seahawks have a first-round bye and will face the winner of the 4-seed vs. 5-seed game.
