No. 1 Women's Golf

No. 1 Women’s Golf Plays in Lynn Invite Beginning Monday

The No. 1-ranked Keiser women's golf team travels to Boca Raton, Florida, for the Lynn Invitational March 30-31. The three-round, two-day event will be held at the Boca Woods Country Club - Woods Course (Par 72, 6,272  yards) and will feature golfers from 13 different collegiate programs.
 

The Seahawks are coming off their fifth team title of the season, winning the Kona Ice Keiser Kup, hosted at Okeeheelee Golf Course. The Seahawks finished first in the seven-team field with a three-round score of 908 (+44), posting rounds of 302 (+14), 308 (+20), and a tournament-best 298 (+10) in the final round.

Keiser finished 15 strokes ahead of runner-u
p Texas Wesleyan (923, +59), while Palm Beach State College  placed third overall with a total of 946 (+82).

Individually, Keiser placed four golfers inside the top 10. Linda Stamm and Luz Maria Ardila led the Seahawks with matching third-place finishes at 226 (+10). Stamm recorded rounds of 76, 76, and 74, while Ardila improved throughout the event, closing with an even-par 72 in the final round.

Herry Ji finished tied for fifth at 228 (+12) after rounds of 75, 79, and 74, and Sophia Sindersberger tied for seventh at 230 (+14) with rounds of 74, 78, and 78. Hannah Guerin also contributed for the Seahawks' top team, tying for 12th at 235 (+19).

Placing in the top 10 as an individual was Berglind Erla Baldursdottir, who tied for ninth at 231 (+15). Aoli Liu followed in a tie for 12th at 235 (+19), while Ziqi Gao tied for 14th at 236 (+20). Faye Wheatley placed 24th at 244 (+28), and Sierra Yeomans rounded out the lineup with a 30th-place finish at 251 (+35).

Ardila, the Sun Conference Golfer of the Week following her performance at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup (March 10) has tallied four top-5 finishes this season. She enters the week with an adjusted scoring average of 73.8 and is ranked No. 21 in the nation (clippd)

4. Linda Stamm - Gr. / Heiligenhaus, Germany
Stamm notched her second top-5 finish as a Seahawk las time out, placing tied for third at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup (March 10). The native of Heiligenhaus, Germany, has registered an adjusted stroke average of 74.3. She is currently ranked No. 17 in the nation (clippd)

5. Berglind Erla Baldursdottir - So. / Reykjavik, Iceland
Baldursdottir recorded her second straight top-10 finish, placing ninth at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup (March 10). She comes into this week's action with an adjusted scoring average of 74.6 and ranks No. 31 in the nation (clippd)
