No. 1 Men's Golf

No. 1 Men's Golf Travels to Arizona for The Battle at Laughlin Ranch

The No. 1-ranked Keiser men's golf team travels to Bullhead City, Arizona, for the Battle at Laughlin Ranch March 23-24. The three-round, two-day event will be held at the Laughlin Ranch Golf Club (Par 72, 7,155 yards) and will feature golfers from 20 different collegiate programs, including 10 ranked in the latest NAIA Top 25.
 

Last time out, the Seahawks delivered a dominant performance at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup, winning both the team and individual championships at Okeeheelee Golf Course. The Seahawks posted a tournament‑best 851 (-1) to claim the title as the only team finishing under par, topping second‑place Texas Wesleyan by 18 strokes.

Keiser opened the event with a field‑low 281 (-3) and maintained its lead through rounds of 287 (+3) and 283 (-1) to secure the top spot at 851 (-1).

Keiser's Iver Sokhan-Sanj claimed medalist honors with a 209 (-4) total, highlighted by an opening‑round 67 (-4) — the lowest round recorded during the tournament. Consistent even‑par rounds of 71–71 secured his wire‑to‑wire win. Seven Seahawks finished inside the top 11 and 12 placed in the top 25. Notable performances included Michael Conti — T‑6th, 218 (+5), Dimitri David — T‑8th, 219 (+6), Jack Peters — 10th, 220 (+7), Matus Cedzo — T‑11th, 221 (+8), Achilleas Lazaridis — T‑11th, 221 (+8), and Fridtjof Farhang — T‑11th, 221 (+8).

With the win, Keiser has posted a top-5 finish in 13 straight events, dating back to last year.

Sokhan-Sanj picked up his third top-3 finish of the season, winning the Kona Ice Keiser Kup on March 10. He has two individual titles on the year. The native of Lorenskog, Norway, has an adjusted stroke average of 69.9 and ranks No. 7 in the nation (clippd)

2. Yann Ferrando - Jr. / Biscarose, France
Ferrando has recorded six straight top-5 finishes, following a second-place finish at this year's Kona Ice Keiser Kup (March 10). He has posted an adjusted scoring average of 68.1 and is ranked No. 3 in the nation (clippd)

3. Jack Peters - Fr. / Ballyclare, Northern Ireland
Peters has two top-5 finishes this season and five top-10 results this season. He enters this week's action with an adjusted scoring average of 70.9 and is ranked No. 25 in the nation (clippd)

4. Michael Conti - Jr. / Phoenix, Arizona
Conti registered his first top-10 finish of the season, shooting a 5-over, 218 (tied for sixth), at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup (March 10). He enters the week with an adjusted scoring average of 73.6 

5. Matus Cedzo - Fr. / Prague, Czech Republic
Cedzo has appeared in six events for the Seahawks this season. The first-year Seahawk has tallied an adjusted scoring average of 70.4 and is currently ranked No. 13 in the nation (clippd)
