The No. 9 Keiser Seahawks men's soccer team continued their hot start to the season with a commanding 6-0 home win over Mobile on Friday afternoon at Arrigo-Vecellio Field. It marked the third time this year Keiser has won by that margin, extending the Seahawks' unbeaten run to five matches (4-0-1) since the last rankings and giving the program wins over two Top-20 opponents in that stretch.
The Seahawks set the tone early with a four-goal first half. Eric Néron-Bancel opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, finishing a feed from
Mikael Baisotti that rattled off the right post and in. Baisotti then turned provider again on a free kick, serving up
Santiago Duque's headed finish in the 17th. Néron-Bancel struck again in the 28th, combining with
Keanu Does and
Manex Landa in the buildup, before Baisotti capped the half with a 33rd-minute strike after Landa slipped him through on the right wing. The Seahawks added two more in the second half, as
Eden Barlow pounced on a defensive miscue in the 67th minute and then set up
Raul Cedillo three minutes later for the final tally. Goalkeepers
Santiago Nebot and
Juan Saldarriaga combined for Keiser's third 6-0 shutout of the season, while the offense showcased its balance with 12 different Seahawks now having scored this year.
