The 2025 Academic All-District At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), were announced on Tuesday. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Three members of the women's golf team (
Carolin Alblas,
Mohea Mansbendel, and
Luz Maria Ardila) were recognized as Academic District honorees. Alblas and Mansbendel were picked to advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where the first, second, and third teams will be chosen.
Carolin Alblas, Fourth Year, Neuss, Germany
- Recorded a 3.97 in business administration-marketing
- Earned second WGCA All-America honor
- Named an NAIA First-Team All-American for the third time in her KU career
- Named to the NAIA Women's Golf All-Tournament Team
- Honored as the 2025 Sun Conference Golfer of the Year
- Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the fourth straight year
- Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 30 rounds
- Had eight top-5 finishes, including two tournament wins
- Opened the year, with her first collegiate victory taking medalist honors at the 2024 Seahawk Shootout (Sept. 16-17)
- Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 208 at the Music City Classic (April 7-8) - second lowest in school history
- Named the Sun Conference and NAIA Golfer of the Week for her performance at the Music City Classic
- Tallied highest finish in the NAIA National Tournament of her career with a fifth-place finish (3-over, 291)
- Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of 72.3
- Ranked No. 4 by clippd
Mohea Mansbendel, First Year, Noumea, New Caledonia
- Garnered a 3.80 in Information Technology Management
- Earned WGCA All-America recognition for the second straight year
- Named an NAIA First-Team All-American for the second time in her KU career
- An NAIA All-Tournament Team award winner
- Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the second straight season
- Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 30 rounds
- Had five top-5 finishes with three tournament wins
- Won the Sun Conference Championship with a 5-over, 221 (April 27-29)
- Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 213 at the 2024 Saint Leo Invitational (Oct. 21-22)
- Finished the NAIA National Championship tied for eighth (8-over, 296)
- Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of 73.4
- Ranked No. 11 by clippd
Luz Maria Ardila, Third Year, Bogota, Columbia
- Posted a 3.88 in Integrated Marketing Communications
- Earned NAIA Second-Team All-American for the second time in her KU career
- Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the third year in a row
- Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 30 rounds
- Had four top-10 finishes with one in the top five
- Placed second at the Music City Classic (April 7-8), shooting a 5-under, 211
- Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 211 at the Music City Classic
- Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of 75.2
- Ranked No. 32 by clippd
