2024-25 Keiser Athletes of the Year Finalists Announced

The 2024-25 Keiser Male and Female Athletes of the Year Finalists have been announced on Friday

This year's finalists - male and five female - were voted on by the The Keiser Athletes of the Year Committee from a pool of 27 Seahawks recognized for their accomplishments this season. Those nominees were announced on Friday, June 6. In all, 14 male and 13 female athletes are among this year's nominees. For a complete list, click HERE.

The 2024-25 Keiser Male and Female Athletes of the Year will be determined via a ballot voted on by Keiser's head coaches, the Keiser Athletes of the Year Committee, and the fans. Fans can vote for their choice by visiting the following links:

Keiser finished the 2024-25 season with four National Championships, 16 NAIA Tournament appearances, 13 Individual National Champions, eight Relay National Champions, and six NAIA Semifinalists.
 
With eight regular season conference championships, eight conference tournament championships, 142 NAIA All-Americans, 215 all-conference individual awards, the Seahawks continued their dominance in not only the Sun Conference but the NAIA For their success, Keiser claimed the program's fifth Sun Conference Commissioner's Cup and finished No. 2 in the 2024-25 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings.
 
During 2024-25 season, Keiser Athletics recognized 66 Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Week and 16 Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Month.

Here are this year's finalists....
 

2024-25 Women's Finalists

Carolin Alblas, Fourth Year, Neuss, Germany
  • Earned second WGCA All-America honor
  • Named an NAIA First-Team All-American for the third time in her KU career
  • Named to the NAIA Women's Golf All-Tournament Team
  • Honored as the 2025 Sun Conference Golfer of the Year
  • Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the fourth straight year
  • Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 30 rounds
  • Had eight top-5 finishes, including two tournament wins
  • Opened the year, with her first collegiate victory taking medalist honors at the 2024 Seahawk Shootout (Sept. 16-17)
  • Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 208 at the Music City Classic (April 7-8) - second lowest in school history
  • Named the Sun Conference and NAIA Golfer of the Week for her performance at the Music City Classic
  • Tallied highest finish in the NAIA National Tournament of her career with a fifth-place finish (3-over, 291)
  • Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of 72.3
  • Ranked No. 4 by clippd


Violet Apisah, Third Year, Sydney, Australia
  • Garnered First Team NAIA All-America Honors for a third consecutive season
  • Named Player of the Year in the Sun Conference for a third straight year
  • Totaled 27 singles wins during the season which is tied for the fifth-most in program history
  • In the fall, won the ITA Cup Singles National Champion for the second time in her career (2023)
  • Finished the season ranked No. 1 in singles by the ITA
  • Named ITA NAIA Women's Senior Player of the Year
  • In doubles, paired with Patricia Apisah for a 12-3 overall record
  • The duo was named the SUN Doubles Team of the Year
  • Selected as SUN Player of the Week on four occasions and NAIA Player of the Week once
  • Owns the program record for singles wins in a career with 87



Nikoline Biltoft-Jensen, Fourth Year, Kongens Lyngby, Denmark
  • Held the top time in the NAIA in the 100 Breast
  • Helped the Seahawks to their fourth consecutive National Championship
  • Tied for the most points scored for KU at nationals with 53 points
  • Set the NAIA National Record in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:00.13
  • The swim was later awarded NAIA Swim of the Meet 
  • Now owns the school records in the 100 Breast and 200 Breast
  • Claimed the National Championship in the 100 Breast while also part of two championship relay teams (200 Medley and 400 Medley)
  • Part of the NAIA record-holding 400 Medley relay team
  • Scored 51 points at the Sun Conference Championships
  • Helped Keiser to their third straight SUN Title
  • Claimed three second-place finishes while helping a pair of relays to titles
  • Named a CSC Academic All-American
  • Received NAIA Scholar Athlete Honors
  • Collected SUN All-Academic honors



Adrianna Cavalotti, Fourth Year, Linebacker, Staten Island, New York
  • Became the program's first SUN Defensive Player of the Year award winner
  • Named First-Team All-Sun Conference - the second all-conference honor of her career
  • Named the Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week three times in 2025
  • Appeared in all 22 games for the Seahawks
  • Posted a career-best 84 flag pulls this season (first on the team and tied for second in the nation) (prior to the NAIA Tournament)
  • Recorded a career-high nine interceptions this season (prior to the NAIA Tournament)
  • Finished the regular season as the school's all-time leader in interceptions (26)
  • Set the school record for interceptions for touchdowns, producing seven in 2025 (tops in the nation) (prior to the NAIA Tournament)
  • Tallied 18 pass breakups (prior to the NAIA Tournament)
  • Tied the school record for flag pulls in a game with 12 versus Reinhardt (3/29)
  • Leads a Keiser defense that is tops in the nation in points allowed (5.2 ppg)
  • Key contributor to the Seahawks producing the most picks this season (53)
  • Ranks No. 17 in the nation is scoring with 92 points (prior to the NAIA Tournament)



Ines Laurent, Fourth Year, Free/Fly, Lausanne, Switzerland
  • Swam the fastest time in the NAIA in the 100 Fly
  • Guided Keiser to their fourth consecutive National Championship
  • Tied for the most points scored at nationals with 53 points
  • Set school records in the 100 Fly (54.33) and 100 Free (50.40)
  • Won the 100 Fly event at nationals and took part in three National Championship relay teams (200 Medley, 400 Medley, and 400 Free)
  • Part of the NAIA record-holding 400 Medley relay team and school record-holding 400 Free relay team 
  • Totaled seven NAIA All-America honors at nationals
  • Scored the maximum 60 points at the Sun Conference Championships
  • Led the Seahawks to their third consecutive SUN title
  • Took first in the 50 Free (23.31), 100 Free (50.50), and 100 Fly (54.72)
  • Part of all five Sun Conference Champion relay teams 
  • Named a CSC Academic All-American
  • Received NAIA Scholar Athlete Honors
  • Collected SUN All-Academic honors


 

2024-25 Men's Finalists

Isaiah AleksenkoFirst Year, Fly/Back, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands
  • Held top times in the 100 Back (No. 1), 100 Fly (No. 1), and 200 Fly (No. 1)
  • Led the Seahawks to their sixth National Championship
  • Tied for the most points at nationals with 60
  • After the meet, was named NAIA Swimmer of the Year
  • Set NAIA National Records in the 200 Fly (1:42.87) and 100 Back (46.12)
  • Broke the meet and pool record in the 100 Fly with a time of 46.01
  • Claimed individual National Championships in the 100 Fly, 200 Fly, and 100 Back
  • Part of NAIA record-holding 200 Medley Relay, 800 Free Relay, and 400 Medley Relay
  • Scored the maximum 60 points at the Sun Conference Championships
  • After the meet, was named Sun Conference Swimmer of the Year
  • Led the Seahawks to their third straight SUN title
  • Took first in the 100 Fly (45.94), 200 Fly (1:44.55), and 100 Back (47.18)
  • Part of three Sun Conference Champion relay teams


Adam Buchanan, First Year, Ballyclare, Northern Ireland
  • Named an NAIA First-Team All-American for the first time
  • Honored as the 2025 NAIA Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award recipient presented by StrackaLine
  • Becomes the fifth Seahawks to be named the top freshman in the nation
  • Named a First-Team NAIA PING All-American for the first time in his career
  • Garnered NAIA PING All-South Region honors for the first time
  • Became the fifth Seahawk to win the Sun Conference Freshman of the Year honors
  • Marked the first Freshman of the Year honor since the 2022 season (Jack Maxey)
  • Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the first time
  • Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 30 rounds
  • Had five top-10 finishes with four in the top five
  • Won the Sun Conference Championship, posting an 8-under, 208 (70-67-71)
  • Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 196 at this year's Seahawk Shootout (Sept. 16-17)
  • Notched a top-5 finish at the Roadrunner Classic (April 7-8), tying for fourth with a 1-over, 217
  • Carded another top-5 finish, tying for fifth with a 4-over, 220, at the Battle at Laughlin Ranch (March 24-25)
  • Entered the NAIA National Championship with an adjusted scoring average of  70.9
  • Named the Sun Conference Golfer of the Week (April 14)
  • Ranked No. 14 in the nation by clippd


Simon Grinberg, OF, Senior, Kitchen, Ontario, Canada
  • Named the Sun Conference Player of the Year, joining Tim Bouchard (2022), Keivan Berges (2015), and Oscar DePablos (2009)
  • Earned All-Conference honors for the second time in his Seahawk career
  • Named a First-Team selection for the first time
  • Led Keiser in home runs (18), batting average (.388), walks (42), hits (58), RBIs (59), and total bases (121)
  • In SUN Conference play, ranked first in four categories: home runs (10), walks (23), slugging percentage (.772), and OPS (1.259)
  • Ranked third in the SUN with 59 RBI
  • Started in 53 games this season in left field or DH
  • Tied for second all time for home runs in a single season (18) 
  • Finished the regular season with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage
  • Tallied 19 doubles ranking third all-time in a single season
  • NAIA First-Team All-American



Kegan Hufford, Fourth Year, A, Lakewood, Colo.
  • Hufford scored a team leading 40 goals this season, adding 16 assists for a total of 56 points
  • Played in 15 games, starting seven
  • Scored the game winner versus No. 1 Webber International
  • Scored six goals in two games
  • Recorded six hat tricks
  • Netted the game winning goal versus No. 4 Cumberlands (Ky) in OT of the national championship
  • Caused eight turnovers and picked up 27 groundballs
  • Team captain
  • Second team All-AAC selection




Yassir Kilani, Fourth Year, Rabat, Morocco
  • Named an NAIA All-American for the third time in his career
  • Helped the Seahawks to their first NAIA National Championship in program history
  • Garnered Sun Conference Player of the Year honors
  • Received All-Sun Conference honors for a fourth consecutive season
  • Boasted a 17-3 record in singles play this season
  • On court one, held an 11-0 record
  • Finished the season ranked No. 8 by the ITA in singles
  • In doubles, posted 12 wins throughout the year
  • Paired with Mathieu Strauss, held an 11-3 record on court two
  • The duo finished the year as the No. 28 ranked team in the NAIA
