(rv) Keiser softball went 2-1 on their final day of competition in the 2025 Sun Conference Tournament, defeating (rv) Coastal Georgia and Webber International and falling to No. 15 Southeastern. The Seahawks won their first tournament game since 2018, and won their sixth extra inning game of the season. For their play this week, Mackenzie Masternak and Lizzy Small were named to the All-Tournament team. The Seahawks now await the NAIA Selection Show on May 7 to find out their postseason fate.

• Mackenzie Masternak started the game, and struck out four batters across four innings (58 pitches)
• Maggie Miller pitched the final three innings, striking out two batters en route to her fourth save of the year (42 pitches)

• Bridget Dunham went 2-4 with 2 RBI
• Faith Campos went 2-4 with a stolen base and a run scored
• Ashley Bullock scored a run and went 2-2
• Genesis Iglesias hit a 2 RBI home run
• Macy Schaaf stole a base and scored a run

After Keiser was held scoreless in yesterday's game, Genesis Iglesias ignited the Seahawk offense with a no-doubt home run to left field in the bottom of the third


KU 2, CCGA 0

• With Faith Campos on second base after a double, Genesis Iglesias stepped up to the plate and slammed a two-run bomb to give Keiser the early lead and all the momentum

KU 2, CCGA 2

• The Mariners scored their first run of the game on an RBI single
• Another RBI single tied the game, but the Mariners were stopped from taking the lead on an excellent throw from Faith Campos to Kelsey Ganci

KU 6, CCGA 2

• With the game tied, the Seahawks were quick to counter, retaking the lead when Abby Arend slid under a tag after a sac-bunt from Macy Schaaf
• Bridget Dunham tacked on two more runs with a 2 RBI single through the right side to score Macy Schaaf and Ashley Bullock
• After Genesis Iglesias was intentionally walked, Lizzy Small drew a walk with the bases loaded to put Keiser up by four
• From that point on, Keiser relied on their defense as well as reliever Maggie Miller to close out the game, and secure Keiser's first postseason victory since 2018

Pitchers of Record: W: Small (9-6) L: Thomas (11-13)

• Mackenzie Masternak was in the circle once again, striking out three batters (82 pitches)
• Lizzy Small pitched two innings in relief, and picked up her 52nd career win (42 pitches)

• Faith Campos went 2-4 
• Tessa DiPietra stole two bases

With the game tied 0-0 in the sixth inning, Webber International had the bases loaded with one out. Lizzy Small entered the circle, got Keiser out of the jam, and walked the game off two innings later


KU 0, WIU 0

• A Warrior baserunner nearly scored to give WIU the lead, but Macy Schaaf made a perfect throw to eliminate the scoring threat

KU 0, WIU 0

• The Warriors loaded the bases, and with Keiser's postseason fate possibly in the balance, KU turned to Lizzy Small in the circle
• Keiser's career wins leader did not disappoint, recording two quick outs to keep the game tied

KU 0, WIU 0

• With the game now in extra innings, Keiser was able to keep the score knotted at zero thanks in part to a diving catch from Bridget Dunham

KU 1, WIU 0

• Dunham got the line moving with a lead-off single
• Faith Campos hit a single back up the middle, and Genesis Iglesias was hit by a pitch in the following at-bat
• With the table set, Lizzy Small gave Keiser its sixth extra innings win of the year with a walk-off single

• Lizzy Small got the start, and pitched 2.2 innings (63 pitches)
• Maggie Miller pitched the remaining 3.1 innings in relief, striking out one batter (34 pitches)

• Bridget Dunham went 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored
• Claire Czajkowski went 2-3
• Faith Campos scored a run and stole a base

Keiser trailed 1-3 at the end of the fourth inning, and SEU padded their lead with three runs in the fifth

• Keiser landed the first blow when Lizzy Small brought Faith Campos home with an RBI single

• The Fire tied the game with an RBI double to right field

• Southeastern increased the lead with a sac-fly and an RBI single

• SEU pushed the deficit to five with two RBI singles and an RBI double

• Bridget Dunham broke the SEU scoring run with an RBI single that scored Kelsey Ganci
• Genesis Iglesias cut the Southeastern lead in half with a sac-fly that brought home Dunham

• The Fire added an insurance run with an RBI single
