The No. 3 Keiser men's soccer team captured the 2025 Sun Conference Tournament Championship with a 2-1 overtime victory over (RV) St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon at Arrigo–Vecellio Field. The Seahawks claimed their fourth tournament crown since 2019 (2019, 2020, 2023, 2025) and secured the Sun Conference's automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship.
After a scoreless first half, the Seahawks broke through in the 71st minute as Raul Cedillo initiated the attack from midfield, finding Eric Neron-Bancel on the right wing. Neron-Bancel played a quick one-touch pass to Mohammed Mouzoune, who slipped the ball across to Mikael Baisotti, and the junior slotted it home to make it 1-0.
St. Thomas equalized in the 85th minute when Tim Kreuzpeinter finished from close range to send the match to overtime. Just six minutes into the extra period, Sergio Padín-Rey sent a long ball down the right side to Baisotti, who crossed it into the middle for Cedillo as the junior forward finished with composure, slipping the ball past the keeper for the golden goal and earning Tournament MVP honors.
Goalkeeper Santiago Nebot made five saves on the day, raising his program-record career total to 210 saves.
