The No. 6-ranked Keiser Seahawks kept their unbeaten season alive with a commanding 5-0 road victory over Ave Maria on Wednesday evening. It marked Keiser's seventh shutout of the season and extended the Seahawks' winning streak to seven matches. Five different players recorded points in the dominant SUN Conference win, highlighted by Eden Barlow's brace and two assists from Santiago Duque.
The Seahawks wasted no time striking early as Justin Bangura scored just four minutes in, finishing a cross-field pass from Duque for his second goal of the season. Minutes later, Raul Cedillo doubled the advantage with a rocket from 20 yards out off a setup by Mohammed Mouzoune on a counterattack. In the second half, Duque again served as the creator, lofting a perfect cross that Barlow headed home to make it 3-0. The sophomore forward wasn't done yet, adding his second of the night after a through ball from Manu Cordeviola in the 78th minute. The scoring was capped in the final minute when Bailey Newton sent a precise cross into the box that Leon Sy Birgersson calmly finished for the fifth goal. Goalkeeper Santiago Nebot made three saves to record his seventh clean sheet of the season.
