No. 1 Keiser University women's swimming team opened the season with a fourth-place finish at the TYR Fall Classic hosted by Florida International University. Keiser was one of two NAIA programs in the field of NCAA schools.
The Seahawks return to the pool on Thursday, October 9, when they travel up to face SCAD Savannah and Milligan in a two-day tri-meet. The meet will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Chatham County Swimming Pool.

- This was the first time the FIU TYR Fall Classic was held at the Doral Central Park Aquatic Center
- Because it was the first meet at the new pool, Bersi secured a pool record in the 200 Fly
- Bersi had a busy day, also claiming a second-place finish in the 100 Fly and taking part in all four relays
- The Seahawks debuted two new swimmers and a new diver at the meet
- Natalia Janiszewska had a strong debut, taking second in the 200 IM, fourth in the 200 Back and fifth in the 50 Free and 200 Free
- Kate Vorontsova claimed two top-5 finishes after competing in the 100 Breast and the 200 Breast
- In the 500 Free, Rachel Bradley took fourth with a time of 5:23.42
- In diving, newcomer Sinead Valero took fourth in the 1-meter and 3-meter events
- Her 230.90 points in the 3-meter set a new Keiser record
