No. 3 Keiser men's tennis closed out their season with a 4-3 win over the four-time defending Division II National Champion No. 10 Barry Buccaneers on the road. The Seahawks had a comfortable lead in doubles after winning on courts one and three. The Buccaneers started singles play with two wins before Keiser countered with three straight wins to clinch the match.
- The Buccaneers took the first singles wins on courts five and three.
- No. 14 Alam evened the match score at 2-2 with a 7-6(4), 6-0 win over DII, No. 15 Ferreria on court two.
- No. 1 El Mesbahi followed by defeating DII, No. 13 Lynch on court one 6-4, 6-3.
- Keiser clinched the match on court four with Krajcik defeating Riedel 6-4, 7-5.
"The young men did a good job today," said Head Coach
Robert McAdoo. "Glad we were able to play Barry right before the conference tournament. We need that type of preparation. It's always a tough match with high intensity. I enjoy the pressure matches; they're needed, and the guys came through today! Looking forward to the conference tournament next week."
Keiser will turn their attention to the Sun Conference Tournament on April 24-26 in Brunswick, Ga.
