Two Team Records Go Down as No. 6 Women's Lacrosse Crushes Webber, 25-7

A record-breaking day for the No. 6 Keiser women's lacrosse team contributed to their most lopsided game of the year, defeating the Webber International Warriors 25-7. The Seahawks were led by Madison Andrews who tallied seven points on three goals and four assists. Abbey Cannon, Chloe Foley, and MacKenzie Gibaud each found the back of the net four times for KU. With 43 points on the day, Keiser set the record for the most points in a game in program history. As a team, the Seahawks also broke the record for most assists in a game with 18.



First Quarter
Keiser 8, Webber 1
  • Three minutes into the contest, Abbey Cannon found MacKenzie Gibaud in front of net to open the scoring.
  • Less than two minutes later, Madison Andrews found a wide-open Chloe Foley in front of the net who buried her 25th goal of the year.
  • Bryce Gerber notched her first goal of the game for Webber with 8:44 on the clock to put the Warriors on the board.
  • With just over five minutes left in the first, Cannon and Peyton Tomlinson tallied back-to-back goals to increase the lead to 4-1.
  • One minute later, Gibaud had her second goal of the game, beating the keeper low to up the lead to 5-1.
  • She would finish her hat trick between goals from Hayley Frew and Foley as Keiser led by seven going into the second quarter.

Second Quarter
Keiser 13, Webber 6
  • Samantha Esher had her first goal of the day against her former team less than a minute into the second as Keiser's run continued.
  • Foley scored again to make it 10-1 before consecutive goals from Gerber made it 10-3.
  • The two sides traded goals before Gerber had her fourth of the game to cut Keiser's lead to six with 4:33 to go in the half.
  • Krystal Beebe closed out the half with a fancy finish to put the Seahawks ahead 13-6 going into the break.

Third Quarter
Keiser 19, Webber 6
  • The Seahawks took back control of the game with a 5-0 run in the third to put KU up 18-6 with 2:57 remaining.
  • With just 10 seconds left in the third, Lucy Single got on the board with her fifth goal of the year to make it 19-6 going into the fourth.

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 25, Webber 7
  • Single scored again to start the fourth before Emily Ferris scored her first goal of the season with 10:09 remaining.
  • Keiser closed out the game on a 13-1 scoring run to put the cherry on top of a 25-7 victory.

Game Notes
  • Keiser moves to 9-6 on the year.
  • The Seahawks are now 3-2 in Sun Conference play.
  • Keiser holds a 4-4 record at home this season after the win.
  • The Seahawks broke the record for most points in a game with 43 and the most assists in a game with 18.
  • Andrews had a hat trick along with a game-best four assists to lead Keiser with seven points.
  • Cannon, Foley, and Gibaud each scored four goals in the contest.
  • Sydney Passaro had a hat trick of assists for the second time this season.
  • Jasmine Sidawi led the defense with four caused turnovers in the game.
  • Gibaud made her presence known throughout the field with a team-high four groundballs.
  • Tomlinson led the Seahawks in the circle with six draw controls on the day.
  • Margaret Wroe earned the win in net before being relieved by Cassidy Green in the fourth.
