No. 3 Keiser men's tennis secured another sweep on Monday afternoon, downing No. 10 Xavier University of Louisiana 4-0 at home. The Seahawks clinched the doubles point with ranked wins on courts two and three. In singles, courts four and six went in favor of KU in straight sets with all four remaining courts requiring a third set.
Petr Cervinka was the first through the third set on court five to clinch the match.
- No. 10 Alam was once again first through singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win on court four.
- Court six followed as Andrej Krajcik took down Jered Wilson 6-4, 6-4.
- With all four remaining matches in the third set, Cervinka closed out the match on court five, winning 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
- Keiser was leading on two of the three remaining courts.
"The young men played with good energy today," said Head Coach
Robert McAdoo. "They all had positive body language and limited their complaints. It was something we talked about leading up to the match:Â more energy and fewer excuses. I was pleased that they were able to execute these two things today."
Keiser will have a quick turnaround and face Warner in a makeup of Saturday's match on Tuesday. First serve from Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton, Fla. is set for 1:30 p.m.
