No. 1 Keiser University women's swimming team dropped their first dual meet of the season on Friday evening in Boca Raton, Fla. to Division I Florida Atlantic, 234-64. The Seahawks took home wins in the 100-Yard Freestyle and the 100-Yard Butterfly.
Keiser's next meet will be Wednesday, October 30, when they travel to Rollins College for a dual at 12:00 PM in Winter Park, Fla.
- Keiser opened the day with a third-place result in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with Zselyke Papp, Kate Vorontsova, Danai Sofoulis, and Timea Aspegren touching the wall at 1:48.95
- Lorie Seranski nearly took second in the 100-Yard Backstroke, but had to settle for third with a time of 1:00.71
- Nikoline Biltoft-Jensen followed that up with a third-place finish in the 100-Yard Breaststroke and a time of 1:05.53
- Luiza Bersi made it three in a row with a 2:07.32 performance in the 200-Yard Butterfly
- After a short break in the action, Ines Laurent grabbed the first win for KU in the 100-Yard Freestyle with a time of 52.56
- Biltoft-Jensen hit the podium again in the 200-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:26.27
- In the 100-Yard Butterfly, Bersi took the top spot with a touch at 55.97
- In her first career 200-Yard IM, Laurent finished second with a time of 2:12.32
- Laurent ended the day responsible for 15 points for the Seahawks with Bersi just behind her at 12
Keiser's next meet will be Wednesday, October 30 when they travel to Rollins College for a dual at 12:00 PM in Winter Park, Fla.
