.How it Happened
  • The match was originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. but was delayed due to field conditions.
  • Later, the match was scheduled to be played at 2:30 p.m., just steps away from kickoff, both squads were called off the field due to lightning in the area and a storm approaching.
  • The game eventually started at 4:30 p.m. after many lightning delays as the clock continued to reset, pushing back the start time.

  • Multiple opportunities were presented for Keiser as Jack Casey would take back-to-back corner kicks in the 19th minute, but the header opportunity would be missed.
  • The Seahawks fired a total of 11 shots against the Gyrenes to no avail in the first half of play, and the two squads would head to the second half with a score of 0-0.
  • Keiser would take advantage of the mud in the second half as many Ave Maria defenders would lose their footing and the Seahawks would slip into opportunity.
  • Tristian Silva would net the first goal of the day for the Seahawks and his first of the season after a cross from Aldair Chavez in the 53rd minute.
  • In the 63rd minute, Malte Schmale would put the Seahawks ahead 2-0 with a pass from Jack Casey.
  • Chavez scored his first goal of the day in the 71st minute with a header after a cross from Emanuel Teixeira and the help of Casey.
  • Noah Southwell fired a shot that was saved by the Gyrenes goalkeeper but rebounded to Chavez for his second goal of the day at the 82nd minute.
