A career-high day for Chloe Foley led No. 4 Keiser women's lacrosse to a neutral site win over Ottawa (Kan.) on Monday, 17-10.


First Quarter
Keiser 8, Ottawa (Kan.) 1
  • Chloe Foley kicked off the scoring after nearly 90 seconds of play to put KU up 1-0.
  • Less than a minute later Abbey Cannon doubled the Seahawks' lead on a free-position attempt.
  • Talia Myers and Madison Andrews kept the run going to increase the lead to 4-0 with 10:18 on the clock.
  • Following a goal by Sydney Passaro, Leanza Gibaud scored back-to-back goals to put Keiser ahead 7-0 with 2:17 left in the first.
  • Ottawa picked up their first goal of the game with 2:17 to play in the quarter before McKenzie Gibaud scored in the dying moments of the quarter to give Keiser an 8-1 lead going into the second.
Second Quarter
Keiser 10, Ottawa (Kan.) 5
  • The Braves opened the second quarter with back-to-back goals to cut the lead down to 8-3 with 6:50 left in the half.
  • Foley tallied her second of the game with 6:36 left to play before the Braves put their fourth on the board.
  • With 2:25 left in the third, Andrews tallied her second of the afternoon to make it 10-4.
  • Ottawa's Cecily Anderson grabbed her third of the game just before the half to bring the score to 10-5 going into the break.
Third Quarter
Keiser 15, Ottawa 9
  • Madison Andrews opened the third quarter with her 130th career goal to tie Melanie Brown for the most in program history.
  • The two sides traded goals with Samantha Esher and Cannon scoring to bring the game to 13-7 with 7:03 to play in the third.
  • Keiser followed the Braves' eighth goal with back-to-back scores from Foley and Myers to extend their lead to 15-8.
  • With just nine seconds left in the quarter, Ottawa tallied their ninth goal of the game to make it 15-9 heading into the final quarter of play.
Fourth Quarter
Keiser 17, Ottawa 10
  • In a light-scoring fourth quarter, Cannon tallied the first goal of the period at the 9:30 mark to give the Seahawks a 16-9 lead.
  • Following Ottawa's final goal, Foley knocked in her fourth of the game to secure the 17-10 win for Keiser.
