The No. 19-ranked Keiser men's soccer team (6-3-3) took home their third straight home win on Saturday afternoon with a 4-2 win over Webber International. For the second game in a row, Aldair Chavez was the difference maker, recording two goals and assisting another. After the Warriors tied the game in the 49th minute, Fami Konate scored the game-winner on a 1-on-1 with the keeper.

.How it Happened
  • Keiser was on the attack early after a long ball played by Timo Boomkens found the foot of Aldair Chavez. Chavez found his way to the top of the box and ripped a right-footed shot into the left side of the net to make it 1-0 in favor of the Seahawks with less than two minutes played.
  • Two minutes later Chavez was attacking again, forcing a save on a strong shot from the right side of the box.
  • Chavez nearly made ESPN Top Plays in the 11th minute as he spun and weaved through three defenders before his shot deflected off the post.
  • Santiago Nebot was tested twice in the 16th minute but was able to make a double save and keep the Warriors off the board.
  • A clever play from Gabi Villafane to Chavez opened a gap in the defense that Mikael Baisotti was able to run through and receive a pass before dribbling around the keeper and passing the ball into the net to make it 2-0 in the 32nd minute.
  • Webber would climb back into the game in the 39th minute with Jesus Sanchez finding Noah Setterberg for a header and a goal.
  • Keiser would go into the half with a slight advantage in shots (10-8) but also having made more saves (5-2).
  • A turnover on the Seahawks' back line gave the Warriors a golden chance that they would take as Matthew Loo took it himself and tied the game at 2-2.
  • Keiser would have an answer in the 52nd minute when Villafane played a long pass forward for Fami Konate who beat the keeper with a soft touch to put KU back in front 3-2.
  • Villafane would get his own chance to score in the 66th minute but his shot would go off the post and back into play.
  • In the 80th minute, Nebot would be called on to make another save and he would do just that as the shot inside the box was parried away.
  • Chavez would seal the game in the 88th minute, being in the right place at the right time, he blocked a clearance and directed it into the goal to make it 4-2.
