No. 1 Women's Swimming Hosts University of Tampa For First Meet of 2023

Women's swimming hosts the Spartans of University of Tampa for a home meet at the Lake Lytal Aquatic Center for their first home dual meet of the 2022-23 regular season, on Friday, January 13th at 3:30 p.m.

  • Tampa leads the all-time series, 6-0, over the Seahawks.
  • These two teams last met on Jan. 14, 2022, in West Palm Beach., the women's team falling to the Spartans, 164.5-97.5.

  • The Seahawks last meet they traveled to the University of Akron to compete in the Zippy Invitational as they were the only NAIA amongst other Division I programs. 
  • The Spartans are undefeated in the season as they will face No. 23 Minnesota before traveling to West Palm Beach, Fla. 
  • This is the second NCAA Division II program the Seahawks will face this season. 
  • In the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll, the Spartans women's team sits in the No. 4 in their division and the Seahawks are No. 1 in the NAIA division.
