No. 5 Keiser Women's Lacrosse took home their seventh road win of the season on Tuesday night at Ave Maria, defeating the Gyrenes 20-7.

First Quarter
Keiser 7, AMU 0
  • Keiser was off and running early, scoring the opening goal less than 90 seconds into the contest courtesy of Rachel McLaughlin.
  • Madison Andrews quickly doubled the advantage for Keiser with a goal at the 11:03 mark.
  • Back-to-back goals by Sydney Passaro and Lena Finkelstein extended the Seahawks' run to 4-0 with 8:07 left in the first.
  • Following Andrews' second goal, Mia Dyson got on the board with 4:23 remaining.
  • Melanie Brown closed out the first quarter with her first goal to give Keiser a 7-0 lead heading into the second quarter.
Second Quarter
Keiser 10, AMU 5
  • Ave Maria would get on the board at the 9:27 mark to make the score 7-1.
  • Valeria Lomaglio netted her first of the game with 9:14 remaining to extend the Keiser lead to 8-1.
  • The Gyrenes would go on a 4-0 run over about four minutes to slash the Keiser lead down to just 8-5.
  • Lomaglio would put her second into the back of the net at the 3:24 mark to make it a 9-5 game.
  • Talia Myers took advantage of a yellow card to put her first into the back of the net to give KU a 10-5 advantage going into halftime.
Third Quarter
Keiser 14, AMU 5
  • The third quarter began with a couple of hat tricks being completed as Lomaglio and Andrews netted each of their third goals to extend the Keiser lead to 12-5 with 11:56 on the clock.
  • Brown and Andrews would go on to score one more each for the Seahawks as KU would take a 14-5 lead into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
Keiser 20, AMU 7
  • The Gyrenes would open the fourth quarter with their sixth of the evening to make it a 14-6 game with 14:46 to play.
  • Brown and Finkelstein would respond with both goals assisted by Andrews to grow the Keiser lead to 16-6 with 12:16 left in the game.
  • Following an Orianna Eldridge goal by the Gyrenes, Chloe Foley picked up her first goal of the evening for the Seahawks with 10:26 showing.
  • Bridget Reddington got on the scorer's sheet with 5:50 to play to up the Keiser lead to 18-7.
  • After Myers' second of the night, Haley Knudsen scored the final goal for the Seahawks as they came out victorious, 20-7.
KU Highlights
  • 2/4/6: Andrews led all Seahawks with two assists, four goals, and six points on the evening.
  • 5: Hannah Reeder scooped up a team-best five groundballs.
  • 6: Jasmine Sidawi recorded six caused turnovers in the game, good for the third-best mark in program history.
  • 8: Stacey Marcelin played all 60 minutes in the crease for Keiser, stopping eight shots and earning the win.
  • 13: Moving the ball up the field is key and Keiser proved it, going a perfect 13-of-13 in clear attempts. 
  • 30: As a team, the Seahawks recorded 30 caused turnovers in the game which ranks second all-time.
  • 47: KU was a dominant offensive force, outshooting the Gyrenes 47-18.
