No. 1 Keiser women's lacrosse held off a late run by the Running Eagles to pick up their fourth win of the season on Friday.Â
Keiser 2, Life 2
- Melanie Brown scored the opening goal of the match with 5:33 left in the first period.
- The Running Eagles tied the game at one with 4:09 showing.
- Madison Andrews netted her first of the afternoon with 3:23 to play in the first to put KU ahead 2-1.

- Life's Nicole Ortiz opened the second quarter with her second goal of the game to put LU up 3-2.
- Leanza Gibaud sparked a three-goal run for the Seahawks beginning at the 9:13 mark and ending with a Rachel McLaughlin goal with 5:45 left in the quarter to put Keiser ahead, 5-3.
- Following a Running Eagles score, McLaughlin tallied her second of the contest to put the Seahawks up 6-4 going into the half.

- Andrews and Valeria Lomaglio combined for back-to-back goals for Keiser to begin the second half.
- 15 seconds after Life's first goal of the third quarter, Lena Finkelstein netter her first of the afternoon to put KU up 9-5 with 10 minutes left in the period.
- Andrews tallied her fourth of the game from a free-position shot as the Seahawks headed to the fourth with a 10-5 lead.Â

- Life would test the No. 1 Seahawks in the fourth quarter, scoring four times in the opening four minutes to cut the Keiser lead down to 10-9.
- The Keiser defense would respond in time, causing six turnovers and allowing just one shot in the rest of the quarter.
- With 49 seconds left in the contest, Hannah Reeder caused her fourth turnover of the game, giving possession back to the Seahawks and securing the 10-9 win.
