The Seahawks track and field team completed the Samford Invitational on Friday.
Cole Wilson had the top performance for Keiser with a sixth place finish against the mostly Division I field. His points total of 4640 Heptathlon is the third-best performance in program history. Wilson qualified for nationals at the B-Standard mark and also cracked the top-5 in the high jump with a 1.89m effort. On the women's side,
Lisa Kirchner completed the first-ever pentathlon in program history and finished with a 2419 point total.

"The last couple of days were a good learning experience for this group," said CoachÂ
Jamaine Gordon. "This was everyone's first college multi's meet. We were able to secure a national qualifier and many personal bests. This group will only get better as the season progresses."

Both teams will head to Bradenton, Fla. for the IMG Academy Indoor Invitational on January 22.
