The No. 2 Keiser men's tennis team defeated No. 15 University of Mobile in the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16. The Seahawks advance to the quarterfinal round tomorrow against the winner of Xavier (La.) and Union.
With today's win, the Seahawks moved to 8-0 on the year against ranked opponents.
	- No. 17 Luke Simkiss and Fred Oervad opened the 2021 NAIA Men's Tennis National Tournament with a 6-2, victory over Mike Lee and Aoi Kambara. 
 
	- The No. 2 tandem of Toru Horie and Geronimo Barrios cruised to a 6-1 victory on court one over No. 9 Boris Klingebiel and Kevin Andrusch, claiming the doubles point for Keiser.
 
	- In the third slot, Olivier Koeng and Riccardo Ferraris were tied 4-4 when the lone point was clinched.
 
	- No. 19 Barrios lifted the lead to  2-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Kevin Andrusch in the third position. Barrios improves to 12-2 on the season, winning his last ten decisions.
 
	- On court six, Bart Nouws cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory, putting KU on the brink of match point.
 
	- No. 1 Simkiss clinched the match in the top spot, with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over No. 20 Boris Klingebiel, completing the 4-0 sweep for KU.
 
	- Keiser was ahead on courts two and five when the match was stopped.
 

Head Coach 
Daniel Finn said, "I am happy with the performance today by the guys. We came out in doubles and really brought it which secured us the first point of the day. From there, the guys did a great job of staying focused and getting off the courts. The wind was tough but we did a good job of overcoming that. It was good to get on and off the courts quickly so we can get rest for the match tomorrow."

The Seahawks will face the winner of Xavier (La.) and Union tomorrow in the quarterfinal round.
